Daytrips
- Take a daytrip to Reine by car or bus and have a look around the village. You can also get a good meal at Gammelbua
- Go to Å and visit the Stockfish museum and check out the Doll museum at Sakrisøy on your way back if you're really in the museum mood.
- Drive around half of Lofoten in search for the art of Dolk & Pøbel
- Go to Stamsund and watch Hurtigruten docks, visit a gallery or have a dinner, lunch or coffe at Skjærbrygga
- Visit beautiful Vikten and observe the mysterious society. There are few inhabitants still they have their own school run by the Church of God faith community.You can also find Glasshytta which is an applied arts center.
- Have a look around the fishing village Ballstad. By the harbour in Hattvika you will find the café "Himmel og Havn" where you will be greeted by a friendly staff and can get a good cup of coffee. Kræmmervika Rorbuer is also located in Ballstad which is a rorbu center with a long history of Lofoten Fishery (map).
- Make a visit to a local farm. Aalan Gård and Lofoten Gardsysteri usually have open for visitors during summertime. Aalan Gård has a summer café. Make sure to check out their opening hours before going. If you want to try their products you also can find it at supermarkets in Leknes.
- Lofoten is known for its many beautiful beaches. Both Ramberg Beach (map) and Haukland beach (map) is worth visiting.
- Go Olavsen in Steine (map) and buy whale meat, ask how to prepare the meat on the grill and go back to Gunda's house for a BBQ.
- Visit Svolvær, known by many as the capital of Lofoten. Here you can find good restaurants as Du Verden where they serve delicious sushi. If you like climbing you can climb the city's own goat. (map)
- Nusfjord is an old fishing hamlet which is worth a visit during your stay in Lofoten.
